Enrolment Procedure, Policies and Information

Parents & Carers are very welcome to come and see our school community in action at anytime during the school year. Enrolment for foundation open in Term 2 and finalised at the end of term 3.

Only children who will be five years of age on or before April 30th of the year they commence Foundation (Prep) may be enrolled. Birth Certificates, Immunisation and Baptism Certificates (if applicable) are to be presented upon enrolment. Non-Catholic children are welcome to attend St Joseph’s on the understanding that they support the Catholic ethos of the school.

Parents wishing to enrol children in the school may obtain an enrolment form from the School Office or call 03 54841797. Applications are assessed according to the school enrolment policy. Families are then invited to attend an interview with the Foundation teacher and principal to discuss how we can best support your child.

‘Little Joey’s’ Transition Program

Families are invited to enrol their child in our transition program which runs every Wednesday mornings from 9-11am.  A qualified teacher and learning support officer simulate a classroom setting and lessons. This has been a very successful way for children to ease themselves into school life and familiarise themselves with the school, staff and other students.
