Welcome to the Senior Classrooms of St Joseph’s 2021 –
The Senior Classrooms at St Joseph’s consists of Years Three, Four, Five and Six. Children working in these areas are presented with high quality, open ended learning experiences with literacy, numeracy and religious education target areas. There is a focus on developing student organisation, responsibility, interpersonal skills, and building independence during these years.
In addition to the classroom curriculum, children are immersed in a varied Specialist Program consisting of:
- Performing Arts
- STEM / Digital Technology
- RRRR (Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships)
- Languages – Indonesian
Water Bottles / Fruit
We ask that children continue to have their own drink bottles at school and that these are cleaned on a regular basis. Children are to have fruit at school for daily fruit breaks at 10:00am and 12:30pm.
Children are expected to be in full school uniform each day. If children are out of uniform for any reason please inform class teachers.
School Hat – please make sure your child has their correct school hat at school each day and that they have their names clearly marked on them. No hat! No play!
Children in Years 4-6 will sign a iPad User agreement for 1:1 use of a device.
Children in Year 3 will use an iPad on a 1:2 ratio.
Headphones – we recommend children will use their own personal set of headphones at school (Years 4-6).
Students who require medication and health plans please ensure that the school has a copy. Please ensure that all medications these have been checked, updated and sent into school.
Teachers are available for contact by phone and email. Please note; teachers are on active supervision from 8:30am therefore urgent communication is directed to Administration staff.
